BARGAINING UPDATES and the MyBCTF MEMBER-ONLY PORTAL

Bargaining content and timely bargaining updates for BCTF members are now accessible in the members-only portal of the BCTF website - www.bctf.ca.

MyBCTF was created in response to member requests for a secure member portal, more use of new electronic tools, and reduced paper use. The design of the portal will allow for additional features and expansion of services to members in the future.

Members will also have access to: Advantage Program information; collective agreements; interactive tools, including discussion groups; easy registration for confernences and meetings; updating of personal information.

Sign up is easy! For first time sign up: at bctf.ca, click on "BCTF Members Only" tab at upper left of home page. At login page, ("BCTF member portal") click "First Time here? Sign up now." Enter the required fields, including your BCTF member ID number. You will be asked to record and remember a case sensitive password. Try "Member Portal Help" at the top right corner of the portal login page if you are having any difficulties.

 

WVTA JANUARY GENERAL MEETING - Great Attendance!

Thank you for a wonderful turnout at the January General Meeting! Our recorded attendance of over 100 is much better than locals twice our size. Your feedback was very important for our Bargaining Team, and for our Local Representatives and WVTA delegates that will be attending the BCTF AGM.

Thank you also to the WVTA teachers who put their names forward at the General Meeting to join our president and Local Reps as WVTA delegates at the BCTF AGM. The AGM will take place during spring break at the Hyatt Regency downtown, beginning the evening of March 17th and continuing through to the afternoon of March 20th. Only delegates can vote, but any teacher is welcome to attend. We will keep you posted as to which table our delegation will be occupying. Feel free to drop by anytime to observe the proceedings.
